Be CAREFUL gainesvillecoins.com

Bought a coin off their site recently for the buy it now price.

a 1861 $20 AU53 Liberty piece.

They said they had a computer glitch and the coin was not in stock.

Frankly, I don't think they are THAT HONEST - anymore - they used to be - now they are getting GREEDY! - Is my GUESS.

SO if you buy something talk to them DON'T use their computer site.

By the way; I bought the coin 12-31-08 p.m. - and they e-mailed me 1-5-09 at 2:00 p.m. their time.

I deleted their site from my favorites - you know get screwed once - get screwed twice dealie! bancha

Best wishes - be aware - times are getting tough and be careful,

I have ordered twice over the past two months from them and both times i received a call about a computer "glitch" and they cancelled my orders.

one order they said the price was wrong and the other order they said the coin wasnt in stock.

my other half dozen orders were just fine.

I recently ordered a Mexican Gold piece from GCC, and it was delivered ahead of schedule. The listed great price was honored.

Occasionally, I've had Saints canceled on me by GCC, but that's what happens when you are after a singular item and the vendor's inventory management database isn't up to par.

This is just a guess; they may be offering coins that they have been consigned along with other dealers to offer without actually having the coins in their possession. Sometimes, these coins may no longer be available or they may have neglected to update the pricing. I imagine if they really held every coin they offer on their website their inventory would be worth many millions of dollars.

I bought three 1/10th gold eagles from them at just under $90 each a few weeks ago . . . ordered online, and received them quickly and with no problems.

Just my ha'penny's worth (2 cents ain't what it used to be . . . ).

Pretty GOOD COMMON SENSE reply. It sure RHYMES with the posts above.

My advice :yes: is JUST deal on the PHONE if you find something you want with them; otherwise read the above and expect it to happen to you too. It is a rough time out there and the supply will soon MORPH into shortages - I'd bet YA a wooden NICKEL - I would. :111::111::111:
